Everything you need to know about CineArtery, from account setup to production workflows.

Getting Started

6 Questions

CineArtery is unified infrastructure for the Indian film industry: a single workspace that connects production companies, cast and crew talent, rental vendors, and marketing platforms. Instead of running a production across spreadsheets, chat threads and disconnected tools, everything from the first draft of the screenplay to the final settled invoice lives in one connected system.

Four groups, each with a workspace built for how they actually work. Cast & Crew Talents are individuals - actors, directors, technicians, musicians, post-production artists. Film, Ad and Corporate Companies are production houses that plan and execute projects. Rental Vendors supply cameras, lighting, grip, vehicles and studios. Marketing & Publicity Platforms cover media, agencies and advertising channels.

Register as the entity that will be paid or that will pay. If you take on work personally, even as a senior technician, you belong in Cast & Crew Talents. If you own or represent a company that produces projects, register as a production company. Equipment suppliers register as Rental Vendors, and media owners or publicity agencies register as a Marketing & Publicity Platform. Your choice determines which modules you see, so pick the one that matches your day to day role.

Sign up with your email address and verify it with the one-time password we send you. You then choose your workspace, and after that your department and specific role. A guide panel is available at every step of onboarding if you are unsure which option applies to you.

Yes. Producers get 15 days of the full production suite on a new project at no charge and with no payment details required upfront. The remaining days are shown as a countdown on the project card, and you can subscribe at any point during or after the trial without losing any work.

Nothing is deleted. The project stays in your account with every scene, element and budget line intact, and it unlocks again the moment you subscribe to that project. You are never charged automatically when a trial expires.

Account & Profile

6 Questions

Department comes first, then the specific role inside it. Departments group related work - Direction, Camera, Writing, Action & Dance, Looks, Post Production, Music, Art & Sets, Production and more - and each one lists the roles it contains, such as DOP, Focus Puller or Colorist. Selecting the most specific role you can is what makes you findable for the right jobs.

Yes, from Settings. Your role controls which modules appear in your workspace and how producers find you in search, so keep it current if the kind of work you take on changes.

Your portfolio is your professional profile on the platform: photographs, showreels, past credits, experience, skills and the rates you work at. Producers see it when they search the talent database or review applications, so it is the single strongest factor in whether you get shortlisted.

Producers filter the talent database by department, role, experience and location. A profile missing those fields simply does not appear in the results, however well suited you are. Complete profiles with media attached are seen first and shortlisted more often.

Each account belongs to exactly one workspace, because billing, invoicing and statutory records are tied to that identity. If you operate in a genuinely separate capacity - for example as an individual technician and also as a registered rental vendor - register those separately so each one keeps its own contracts and invoices clean.

Company name, brand name, registered address, GSTIN and contact details are all managed in Settings. These details flow through to your invoices and to how your organisation is displayed to everyone you work with, so keep them accurate.

Subscription & Billing

7 Questions

CineArtery is billed once per film, not as a recurring monthly seat. A single payment unlocks the full production suite for that project, so the cost sits naturally against the production it belongs to rather than against your calendar.

Yes. Each film is licensed and billed on its own, which keeps its budget, schedule and vendor records self contained. Work on one project never consumes another project's plan.

The complete production workflow: screenplay writing with supporting documents and censor script, scene breakdown and element tagging, scheduling and call sheets, budgeting, cast and crew management, auditions, equipment rentals, marketing and publicity, shared calendar and messaging.

Payments are processed through Razorpay and accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, RuPay, UPI and net banking. Card details are handled entirely by the payment gateway over an encrypted connection and are never stored on CineArtery servers.

Yes. Add your billing details, including legal entity name, registered address and GSTIN, in Settings before you check out, and a GST compliant invoice is generated against that entity. Every invoice stays available for download in your Billing section.

In the Billing section of your workspace. It lists every transaction with its date, amount, status and downloadable invoice, for both subscription payments and settlements with the people and vendors you work with.

Refunds are governed by our published policy. Please read the Refund Policy in full, and write to us at support@cineartery.com if you believe your situation qualifies.

Cast & Crew

5 Questions

Every completed profile appears in the talent database, which producers search by department, role, experience, location and availability. There is no cost to appear there and no intermediary deciding whether you are shown.

Producers publish audition calls against a project with the roles, requirements and timelines attached. You browse open calls in your workspace, apply to the ones that fit, and follow your application through each stage without chasing anyone for an update.

The production raises a booking that records your role, agreed rate and dates. Call sheets then reach you with the date, reporting time and location for each shooting day, so what you were told and what you were booked for are always the same record.

Your agreed rate is captured on the booking itself, and invoices and payment status are tracked in your Billing section against the production. This means the terms you accepted, the work you delivered and the settlement against it stay linked rather than living in separate conversations.

Talent accounts have their own plans, which are listed on the Pricing page shown for your workspace when you sign in. They are priced separately from production plans, which are what producers buy per film.

Production & Workflow

7 Questions

Write in correct screenplay format with scene headings, action, character and dialogue handled for you as you type. Alongside the script you can keep supporting documents for reference, and prepare the censor script when the film reaches certification.

Breakdown is where the screenplay becomes a production plan. You tag what each scene needs - cast, crew, props, costumes, locations, vehicles, rental equipment - directly in the script, and every tag is collected into an element list grouped by category. Because scheduling and budgeting read from those same tags, adding a prop to a scene shows up everywhere it has a consequence.

Tagged scenes are arranged into shooting days, so the schedule is built from what the script actually requires rather than from a separate list maintained by hand. Days flow into call sheets and into the shared calendar that your cast, crew and vendors see.

The budget is organised the way a production office thinks about it: department wise, with dedicated views for cast and crew, rentals and marketing, and a day wise view of what each shooting day costs. Because it draws on the same breakdown and booking data, estimates and committed costs sit side by side.

Browse verified rental vendors and their live inventory, then add what you need against the agency supplying it. Equipment tagged in your breakdown carries its supplier with it, so the item, the vendor and the cost stay connected through to booking.

Posters and standees, hoardings and flex, transit media, newspapers and magazines, web portals, broadcast television and radio, social media, paid advertising, merchandise and public presence activity - planned and tracked against the project rather than in a separate silo.

Yes. A project is shared with the people working on it, with what each person can see and change governed by their role, and with messaging and a shared calendar built in so decisions stay attached to the production record instead of scattered across personal chats.

Technical Support

6 Questions

CineArtery runs in any current version of Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox. The workspace is responsive and works on a phone for reviewing schedules, call sheets and messages, though screenplay writing and scene breakdown are considerably more comfortable on a laptop or desktop.

All traffic is encrypted in transit, sign in is verified by a one-time password, and every project is access controlled so people see only what their role on that production allows. An unreleased script is among the most sensitive assets a production holds and it is treated that way.

Settings has a Security section listing every device currently signed in to your account, with the option to sign out of any of them. If you have used a shared or public computer, sign that session out from here.

Sign in is by one-time password, so there is no password to forget. If the code does not arrive, check your spam folder and confirm the email address on your account is one you can still receive mail at. If it still fails, write to support@cineartery.com from the registered address and we will help you recover access.

Request deletion from the Security section in Settings. Your account enters a 90 day grace period during which you can restore it by signing in, after which personal data is permanently removed. Financial records such as invoices and tax documents are retained for the period Indian law requires, because we are not permitted to delete them on request.

Write to support@cineartery.com. Our team is available Mon to Sat, 9 AM to 9 PM IST. Including your project name and a screenshot of what you are seeing gets you a useful answer considerably faster.
